U.S. coins, American and crypto rarities are on display at the Bauers Gallery auction at Stack's June 2023 auction

(Costa Mesa, Calif.) – Stack's Bowers Galleries is proud to announce their June 2023 Display Auction, the official auction of the Whitman Coin and Collectibles Summer Fair. The auction represents the start of the company's exciting summer auction season and offers an impressive selection of U.S. coins, colonial and U.S. coins, and physical cryptocurrencies.

The auction began on Tuesday, June 13, with the first auction featuring U.S. coins and early U.S. coins. The highlight of this auction is a striking collection of Indian Peace Medals, including treasures such as the Thomas Jefferson Silver Medal in 1801 and the James A. Garfield Medal in 1881, attributed to a Gicarilla-Apache chief. Also noteworthy is the amazing Civil War Suttler token collection from the Bill Kelly Collection, medallions related to the American Liberation Organization from the Martin Rogers Collection, and the delightful selection of Massachusetts silver coins from the Randall Pelham Collection.

Beginning June 13 at 2 p.m. PT, Stack's Bowers Galleries showcases a variety of world-class numismatic treasures, including the legendary 1879 Gold Age Gold Coin that was awarded PR61 by PCGS. A fresh set of 1793 gold chain cents from the George Henry Carman Collection includes a delightful PCGS VF30. Experts on 20th-century issues will be delighted with more modern treasures, such as the 1936 Walking Freedom Half Dollar of the PCGS PR67+ and the 1950 Franklin Half Dollar, graded PCGS PR66DCAM. Also found in Night of Treasures is a PGCS PR65+DCAM 1872 free seat dollar, a PCGS MS62 1839-O classic head Quarter Eagle, a PCGS AU50 1854-D $3, a PCGS MS65 1907 high relief, a coil St. Gaudens Double Eagle, and a PCGS MS65+1915 St. Gaudens Double Eagle.

The third part offers a comprehensive parade of American coins, from small cents to coins, patterns, and territorial issues. From Gramp's Coin Collection and Rick's Morgan Collection, the first part offers the most prized dates in the collection as well as the most elusive VAM varieties. Gold coins from the Freehead and St. Gaudens series have recently attracted great demand, and this lesson introduces the PCGS MS64+1891 Liberty-Head Halfhawk.

The

fourth auction on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 14 will offer exciting physical Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. The highlight of the conference was a magnificent 2013 Casatius 1 Bitcoin Silver coin, representing trophy coins in this category. In addition, the Casascius collection offers examples of brass 0.5 Bitcoin, as well as several rare varieties of brass 1 Bitcoin, including the elusive 2012 question. The Lealana series is represented by a powerful set of four coins, including 0.1, 0.25, 0.5 and "Gold B" 1 Bitcoin, as well as a set of three coins of rare buyer-funded, black address varieties, including 0.1, 0.25 and 0.5 Bitcoin. Among collectors' favorite BTCC collections, there are several "poker chip" types, as well as a rare 0.1 Bitcoin titanium mint. The representative of the Sattori coin is a great combination of the front fork and the back fork, as well as the original 50 coin rolls with consecutive serial numbers offered in several lots. Stack's Bowers Galleries is also proud to showcase the first publicly available example of the Crypto Imperator series with a PCGS rating. In addition to Bitcoin, there are important treasures from Litecoin, including the issuance of Lealana, Cryptovest and Genesis. The symbol of the non-filled category is the extremely rare redemption of the Casascius Bitcoin Storage Bar in 2011. The highlights of Lealana's non-issue coin are several different varieties of silver unfunded 2021 "Bitcoin Cent" 0.01 BTC, among others.
